What They Needed
Proudly SA needed a complex multivendor marketplace to support South African businesses. The unique challenge was implementing a hybrid no-warehouse dropshipping model where multiple vendors ship products that get consolidated into a single delivery for the end customer—a technically demanding requirement that most platforms don't support out of the box.
How I Solved It
I designed and built a complete WooCommerce multivendor marketplace with a custom-engineered consolidated delivery system. The platform allows multiple vendors to list products, but instead of direct shipping, orders are intelligently routed through consolidation points for single-delivery fulfillment. This required custom order splitting, vendor management dashboards, automated shipping calculations, and integration with logistics partners. I also integrated LOLO, an AI-powered assistant (with a distinctive teal color scheme) to help customers navigate the marketplace and find South African products.
